Our family farm & alpine pasture in the Dolomites – South Tyrol

In good company

Just behind our Nussbaumerhof, our four-legged friends have their home. On our family farm in the Pusteria Dolomites live 40 to 50 cattle, including the mighty Simmentaler and the almost-forgotten Pustertaler Sprinzen, a breed on the brink of extinction. In summer, the animals enjoy the fresh mountain air on our alpine pasture, while in winter they relax in the fields or the stable – waiting for someone (alias: you!) to drop by.

And who keeps everything running smoothly? Farm dog Balu! The lively Australian Shepherd takes his role as ”chief greeter” seriously, because he knows exactly how to welcome ”his“ guests – with a happy wag of the tail and heaps of charm. 😉

Alpine flair: the Nussbaumer Lafaa Alm

Our Nussbaumer Lafaa Alm mountain pasture is the perfect retreat – high up on the Rodengo Alp plateau, nestled among colourful meadows of flowers and herbs. At 1,935 m, breathtaking views awaits you: the Zillertal Alps, Großglockner, the Odle peaks and many other alpine giants greet you from afar. Every Wednesday, we invite you to join us for a group hike followed by a sociable barbecue.
